Design and Display—First Impression
When you first hold the phone in your hand, it feels thin and light. The best feature of the 6.7-inch HD+ display is its 120 Hz refresh rate, which makes it fairly huge. This feature at this pricing range truly caught me off guard. The movements and scrolling were quite fluid. Yes, having Full HD+ would have made it more fun, but it’s still decent for the price.
Performance—How is daily use?
The MediaTek Helio G81 CPU powers the phone. It was flawless when I used it on YouTube, social networking, and other apps. It worked well for light games like Free Fire or PUBG Lite, but it wasn’t stable for very long for games with a lot of visuals.
I found that having 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage was really practical, especially since microSD allows you to increase the storage even further.
Camera – Photo experience
The primary back camera on the Infinix Hot 50i is 48MP. Images appeared crisp and detailed in the sunshine, and the colors were pleasing. However, the photos’ quality declined as the light level dropped.
The 8MP front camera is good for video calls and selfies. Its portrait mode was my favorite, but the nighttime selfies should have been improved.
Battery – Gets through a day with ease
This is what I found most enjoyable. You can get through an entire day with the 5000 mAh battery. I made some calls, played some games, and utilized social media and YouTube, but by nighttime, the phone was still at 25%.
An average of 18W is used for charging. The phone took almost two hours to fully charge, which is a little lengthy but manageable.
Features—Things I liked
- The fingerprint sensor that was situated on the side proved to be quick and precise.
- It was practical with two SIM cards and 4G LTE.
- Features like the FM radio and microSD card were useful.
- The software seems fluid and light because it runs on Android 14 (Go Edition).
- Yes, it lacks 5G support and seems cheap due to its plastic construction.
Pros and Cons (in my opinion)
Things I enjoyed:
- 120 Hz Display That Is Smooth
- Long-lasting 5000 mAh battery
- 48MP Rear Camera (suitable for bright light)
- Reasonably priced
- Adaptable Storage
The following could have been improved:
- The screen is not Full HD+.
- The 18W charging pace is a little slow.
- Photography in low light is mediocre.
- 5G’s absence is a disadvantage.
My Final Opinion
According to my own experience, the Infinix Hot 50i is a phone that offers good value for the money. This phone is the greatest option if you desire a smooth display, a solid battery, and daily use. However, this is not the phone for you if you want 5G or intense gaming.
